Program Support Model
Teachers in the certification program will be supported by a Manager, Teacher Leadership Development (MTLD) during their two year commitment and a Mentor during their first year through coaching. These staff members will observe teachers both formally and informally to assist with their development. In addition, they will receive instruction from content and specialized facilitators. Building Administrators (e.g. Principal, Instructional Coach) provide further feedback on teacher performance as well as professionalism. Members of the Candidate Support Team will meet with corps members at the end of the 2nd semester and 3rd semester to review the teacher’s standing regarding meeting TCP requirements and professional expectations.
